When will my tax refund arrive?
It can take up to three weeks for your tax refund to arrive after being accepted by the IRS and you can track it by heading to the IRS’ Where’s my Refund? portal. These payments are sent in batches, but you’ll be notified as soon as the payment hits your Current Account.
If you filed with the IRS then your tax return can arrive up to 5 days earlier* than anticipated. We’ll credit your account once it has arrived.
Note: The IRS is the sender of these payments. You should rely on their information to know the exact date your deposit was sent. Most tax software estimates this date based on the average processing speeds of the IRS.
*Faster access to funds is based on comparison of traditional banking policies and deposit of paper checks from employers and government agencies versus deposits made electronically. Direct deposit and earlier availability of funds is subject to payer's support of the feature and timing of payer's funding.
**A tax refund may only be direct deposited into an account that is in your name. This means that if you file a joint return, the name of the primary filer must match the name on the account. If a tax refund is directed to an account that is not in your name, it may be rejected and returned to the IRS. No more than three electronic refunds can be deposited into a single financial account or prepaid card. If you exceed this limit you will receive notice from the IRS and a paper check refund.
