How to update your phone number
If you have a new phone number, you can update your information in the Current app if you still have access to the old number. To update your phone number in the app:
- Tap on Account
- Select Edit next to your name at the top
- Tap Edit next to your phone number and follow the on-screen steps
- You'll receive a code via text message — enter it in the field provided to confirm your number
Please note that your unique verification code should be kept secure at all times. We will never ask you to provide this code or call you asking for any type of password for your account. Please do not share it with anyone.
How to update your teens phone number
Teens can edit their own phone number by going in their app and following the same steps as listed above.
How to update your email address
You can change your email address in the Account section of your account by following the steps below:
- Tap on Account
- Select Edit next to your name at the top
- Click on your email address and follow the on-screen steps
After you update your email, please follow the instructions in the verification email to confirm it. It's important to keep your email address up to date so we can communicate with you about your account.
How to update your name
You can request to update your name in the Account section of the Current app if you have recently changed your legal name. Simply log in and follow the steps below:
- Tap Account
- Select Edit next to your name at the top
- Follow the on-screen steps to submit your name change request
Once we receive your request, you will receive an email informing you about the next steps and asking for any additional information required to process the name change.
Important: It is mandatory for us to utilize your legal name for your account and we are unable to transfer ownership of the account by modifying the name associated with it.
How to update your mailing address
You can update your address directly in the app by following the instructions below:
- Tap on Account
- Select Edit next to your name at the top
- Next to Address, tap Edit
- Enter your new address and confirm
In some cases, you may be required to submit a document to verify your new address. We accept any document from the following list as proof of address:
- Lease Agreement negotiated within the last 12 months (with a signature)
- A valid, unexpired state-issued Identification Card (i.e., Driver or Non-Driver's License)
- Utility bill dated within the last two months (cable, sewer, electric, phone)
- Bank Statement dated within the last two months, which you may be able to download if your bank offers e-statements
- Paystub or voucher dated within the last two months
Note: All documentation must include the full name of the account holder for verification and identification purposes.
