Tips for Depositing a Mobile Check

  1. Make sure that you have a dark background behind the check so that the edges of the check are clear in the image.
  2. Use the flash if you need to, it’ll automatically be enabled if you’re in low light
  3. Start farther away and move closer to the check, the photo will automatically be taken once it’s in position

  • Checks that have been previously deposited at another institution via physical item, image or electronic funds transfer
  • Checks from financial institutions located outside of the United States; checks that are not payable in U.S. dollars
  • Checks that are more than six (6) months old
  • Checks that are post-dated, or payable on a date in the future
  • Substitute Checks (a digital reproduction of the front and back of an original check)

Note: You cannot use the mobile check deposit feature to fund your account for the first time. Once you've made successful deposits from another funding source you'll be able to deposit checks successfully.
