Fee-Free Overdraft lets qualifying members overdraft when they swipe their Current debit card and Build card. This feature comes with no additional fees, so we have your back when you need it!
How do I get Fee-Free Overdraft?
We determine eligibility for Fee-Free Overdraft based on your direct deposit history, account activity, and other risk-based factors.
If your account qualifies for Fee-Free Overdraft, you’ll receive a notification from us letting you know that you’re eligible to enable Fee-Free Overdraft. Once enabled, you can check your limit by tapping Fee-Free Overdraft in the Services section of your account.
Overdraft limits start at $25 and can increase as you continue to use your account. These limits may change over time and are dependent on your direct deposit history, account activity, and other risk-based factors.
Your Fee-Free Overdraft limit may decrease or you may lose access to the feature if you do not meet the eligibility requirements on a consistent basis. We may take into account additional requirements before reinstating Fee-Free Overdraft or adjusting existing requirements at our discretion.
What is an Eligible Payroll Deposit?
Eligible Payroll Deposits for Fee-Free Overdraft include recurring deposits of your wages or compensation from sources such as your employer, payroll provider or government payer, including where you are acting as an independent contractor, of an amount and frequency determined by Current in its sole discretion.
Bank ACH transfers, unemployment insurance payments, peer-to-peer transfers between bank accounts, transfers made to debit cards from digital wallets or P2P services (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or other similar services) mobile check deposits, and cash deposits are not deposits that qualify for Fee-Free Overdraft or increases to your limit.
Is my limit the same for my Current debit card and Build card?
Your Free-Free Overdraft limit is a single, shared amount that applies to all your debit and credit cards. This means all transactions made using Fee-Free Overdraft will count towards the same overall limit.
Is there an additional fee for using overdraft?
Nope! Once you have Fee-Free Overdraft, you will be able to enjoy the peace of mind that comes with using it.
