Why are purchases from a blocked merchant going through?

iTunes and some merchants such as Playstation, Xbox, Microsoft and Amazon use a unique billing method where their Point-of-Sale (POS) systems are not tied to a single location.

This causes a bit of trouble when you try to use our merchant blocking feature, since these merchants can get around that block by running the charge through another card processing method elsewhere.

What this means is that although you may have blocked the merchant on Current’s side, the merchant is still able to process the purchase request that was made. We’re aware of this issue and are working on resolving this for the merchants that are affected.
