Partner Bank Updates

We’re expanding our partnership with Cross River Bank, which means some account details are changing for both new and existing members.

We’re rolling this update out gradually. For some members, the new account and routing numbers are already active, while others will see them in the app soon.

Do I need to do anything because of this change?

No action is required to continue using your account. Your account, card, direct deposits, and other transactions will continue to work following the transition.

We encourage you to review the Current - Cross River Deposit Account Agreement and begin using your new account and routing numbers for new deposits and payments going forward.

What’s changing with my account? Will my deposits still go through?

You’ll receive a new account and routing number issued by Cross River Bank, but your payroll and other deposits will continue to arrive as usual.

If any deposits are sent to your old account and routing numbers, they’ll still arrive in your Current account as normal — there’s nothing you need to do.

We recommend providing your new Cross River Bank account and routing numbers for new payroll and deposit instructions going forward.

Do I need to contact my payroll provider?

In most cases, no action is required. If your payroll provider requires confirmation of your updated account information, they may contact you directly. If that occurs, you should provide your new Cross River Bank account and routing numbers.

Where can I find my new and old account and routing numbers?

To find your new Cross River Bank details, go to the Home tab in your app, then tap Details.

You can still view your previous account details by tapping the Question Mark in the top right corner of the Account screen, then selecting Previous Account Information.

Do these changes apply to teen accounts too?

Yes, teen accounts will also receive new account and routing numbers from Cross River Bank.

Should I start using my new numbers now?

Yes, we recommend using your new Cross River Bank account and routing numbers for all new deposits and payments going forward.

Why am I receiving a new Account Agreement?

Banking services for your account will be provided through Cross River Bank after the transition. As a result, the Current - Cross River Deposit Account Agreement and related disclosures will govern your account after the transition date. Please review these documents carefully.

Will my deposits remain FDIC insured?

Yes, Cross River Bank is an FDIC-insured institution. Deposit coverage remains subject to applicable FDIC rules and limits.

Current is a financial technology company, not an FDIC-insured bank. FDIC insurance only covers the failure of an FDIC-insured bank. FDIC insurance up to $250,000 is available on customer funds through pass-through insurance at Cross River Bank, Member FDIC where we have a direct relationship for the placement of deposits and into which customer funds are deposited, but only if certain conditions have been met. There may be a risk that FDIC insurance is not available because conditions have not been satisfied. In such cases, funds may not be fully insured in the event the insured depository institution where the funds have been deposited were to fail.
