As with paychecks or tax refunds, you can have your stimulus payment sent directly to your Current checking account so you can get your funds faster than waiting for a paper check in the mail. Most members will fall into one of two categories:
- If you've recently filed your 2019 taxes and had them deposited to Current, your economic stimulus payment from the IRS will automatically be sent to the same account and you should not need to take any action
- If you have not filed taxes yet the IRS/Treasury has created a web portal to add direct deposit information to receive your payment. You can submit your Current account and routing numbers here.
Remember, you can locate your account and routing information by tapping your transaction history, then tapping Routing & Account Numbers from within the app.
For any questions on qualifying for the stimulus or to calculate your stimulus payment amount, you'll want to check the IRS website for further information.
