What is Overdrive?
Overdrive allows qualifying Premium members of Current to overdraft up to $100 using your Current debit card. This feature comes with no overdraft fees and allows us to have your back when you need it.
How do I qualify for Overdrive?
As a Premium member, you can qualify for Overdrive by setting up and receiving direct deposits from your employer. We will determine your eligibility for Overdrive based on your employer’s direct deposit being received, your account history, and spending activity with Current. If your account qualifies, you’ll receive a notification from us letting you know.
How do I enable Overdrive after I qualify?
Once you receive notification that your account qualifies for Overdrive you'll need to head into the app to enable this. You can find it under Card Settings from the home screen of the app once you login.
What is a qualifying deposit?
In order to qualify for Overdrive you’ll need to receive direct deposit from an employer. Funding your account using an external funding source or 3rd party app are not eligible for Overdrive qualification. Once you’ve received your direct deposit we will review your account history and spending activity to see if you qualify. If you do, we’ll send an email to your address on file confirming your eligibility.
Can I get a higher Overdrive limit?
Yes, the limit on Overdrive starts lower and can increase up to $100 over time. As you continue to use your account and make successful deposits we will periodically review your account and increase your limit when possible.
Will Overdrive charge me a fee?
Nope! As a qualifying Premium member you will be able to enjoy the peace of mind that comes with Overdrive and we will not charge you a fee to use it.
Does Overdrive cover all of my purchases?
Overdrive will work with transactions you make using your debit card either in-store or at a merchant online. It doesn't cover ATMs transactions, Peer to peer payments, ACH payments such as bill pay, or Current Pay transactions.
