All of our members can set up direct deposit with their employer either in-app or by providing their account and routing numbers directly to their employer or payroll provider. If you're a Premium member you'll also get the added benefit of receiving your direct deposit more quickly, depending on your employer.
So how does it work?
Most employers process their payroll a day or two in advance of you receiving your actual paycheck at your bank. When processing this, they provide your employer with a specific date they'd like the deposit released on, typically this is the day you're used to getting paid on.
Our Premium accounts ignore this date, and we credit the direct deposit within a few moments of receiving it, ignoring the date listed so you can have access to your funds sooner. All other members will see their payroll pending until the date their employer has told us to credit it.
What else should I know?
Payroll speeds vary based on your employer and/or the payroll company they're using to manage the process. If you're a member with a Basic account and upgrade to Premium, your future deposits will be credited when we receive them instead of on the date provided by your employer.
If you see your direct deposit pending a day or so before you normally get paid, you can upgrade your account to Premium directly within the transaction view of the app by tapping the pending deposit. Future deposits will get credited early after you upgrade.
If you are expecting a direct deposit but have not yet received it, you should reach out to your employer/payroll provider first. If they've confirmed the funds were sent, ensure you have the exact amount and date the funds were deposited and reach out to our support team, we'll be happy to help.
