Your deposits into Current are processed through the Automated Clearing House or ACH. The ACH is a U.S. based financial network that processes electronic payments and transfers between accounts of many types. In fact, you probably have experience with the ACH if you've paid bills online or receive direct deposit from your employer. This network processes around 25 billion electronic payments annually for almost every financial institution in the U.S.
All deposits made from your bank account into Current will go through the ACH and take 3-5 business days to settle into your account per their regulations and timing. Most deposits made on a business day before 5PM EST will settle within 3 business days. In some cases it can take a few days longer than expected, depending on your bank and ACH timing.
As a note, if you maintain a balance on Current as a parent, you can avoid waiting for additional deposits by transferring settled funds from your balance to your teens instantly. While the initial deposit into your balance will follow the above timing, it's a great way to transfer money to your teens more quickly and on the weekends.
